About ReporterWorks

Product History

John Moren, President of Princeton Investments, Inc., developed, marketed, and supported NoteSmith, a family of programs designed to manage a broad array of financial services. NoteSmith consistently outperforms and underprices the other software available in its market. His software has been Year 2000 compliant since the 1980s.

Jason Meadors, principal of Meadors Court Reporting, LLC, was in search of a program that combined affordability, comprehensive capability, and ease of use on Win95 and higher platforms. Finding the market lacking, he asked for John's assistance in designing a program to accomplish this.

The result of this collaboration was ReporterWorks 98, and a year later, ReporterWorks 2000 (dubbed RW2K), both of which combined the sophistication that John Moren had developed in over 13 years of office management software development and the knowledge of court reporting demands that Jason Meadors brought with his 25 years of court reporting experience.

In the year 2000, based on the information gathered from reporters nationwide who had been using the program, the two again combined efforts to incorporate the comments of those reporters into an upgrade, named ReporterWorks 2001, to further improve the program; and to produce ReporterWorks Solo, filling the need in the reporting world for viable program designed for officials and other one-user offices.

In 2001, ReporterWorks took the wishes and results of its growing court reporter base and incorporated them into ReporterWorks 2002. This upgrade, as reflected in this Web site, adds a number of functional and aesthetic improvements to the already comprehensive program.

Philosophy

To view court reporting software as an opportunity to benefit colleagues, rather than a market to be exploited.

To minimize price and maximize program features.

To be responsive to the needs of our users with regular, effective upgrades.

To support ReporterWorks as efficiently and effectively as possible.

To follow software industry standards in order to provide court reporters with an off-the-shelf software experience.
